EU Copernicus Climate Service: The last seven years have been the warmest since records began

According to a report by the EU’s Copernicus climate service, several climate records were broken in 2021. Last year, for example, was the fifth warmest ever recorded worldwide. On average, global temperatures were 1.1°C to 1.2°C above pre-industrial levels. The past seven years have been the warmest since records began.
