AquaKlif: Review article on the importance of dissolved oxygen in rivers

The oxygen dynamics of a river convey important biochemical information with regards to its complete catchment area and therefore covers large areas with regards to ecosystems and environmental regions.

In a joint and interdisciplinary article, authors from 5 AquaKlif subprojects describe the transfer and transformation of dissolved oxygen in rivers. The corresponding author is David Piatka, PhD student in the group of Prof. Johannes Barth in subproject 2 “Stable Isotopes – Indicators of altered flow conditions and biological turnover in hyporheic zones”
